The structure of the drug is a complex of vitamins and extract of the fruits thistle, which contains silymarin - a group of flavonoid compounds fenilhromanovoy structure (including isomers: silibinin, and silidianin silikristin).
Silymarin protects hepatocytes from exposure to hepatotoxic agents, prevents destruction of cell membranes. Improves cellular metabolism. Has hepatoprotective effect of acute and chronic intoxication, as well as antioxidant activity due to binding of free radicals in liver tissue. Has membrane-stabilizing activity, stimulates protein synthesis, promotes regeneration of hepatocytes.
